Our Narrow View

Let us consider a thought experiment. As we look out amongst the stars we are seeing the universe as it used to be. The light from many of the stars that we can observe left their “place” so long ago that by the “time” their light reaches us the very thing we are seeing is not actually there. So, what has taken the place of what we are “now” looking at?

The point of this exercise is to illustrate how narrow of a view we have of space and time.

Questions to consider include:

1.Do we (humans) “see” small better or big better?

2.What other life exists?

3.Does intelligent life (other than humans) exist? If so, how “advanced” are the lifeforms?
